A Ret-HC
A Ret HC Cream is indicated for the gradual treating of hyperpigmentation skin conditions such as chloasma, Melasma, Freckles, senile lentigines and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.
Melasma has been treated successfully with a combination of a 05% tretinoin, 1% Hydrocortisone Acetate, and 2% Hydroquinone.
Patients who have significant hyperpigmentation plus photodomaged skin may benefit from combinations of Tretionin with Hydroquinone and low potency topical corticosteroids.
These combinations are derivatives of the original derivatives of the original Kligmann’s Formula and are often effective in treating hyperpigmentation. It is essential that any one being treated for photodamage should be encouraged to apply sunscreen every morning
The intensity of pigmentation in melasma, freckles and senile lentigines and the epidermal component of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation may be decreased by the conscientious application of A Ret-HC for weeks to months. A Ret-HC is reported to act by inhibiting one or more steps in the tyrosine-tyrosinase pathway of melanin synthesis.
It also affects the formation, melanization and degradation of melanosomes and eventually causes necrosis of whole melanocyes.
The hyperpigmented areas fade more rapidly more rapidly than surrounding normal skin: 80% of patients with melasma may note some improvement within on & an 8 week period.
A Ret HC Cream should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. It is for external use only.
