It has antimicrobial and ant-inflammatory properties, which make it effective for acne and rosacea. It is often used for its skin lightening effects and reducing the appearance of skin blemishes,scars and discolorations.
Azelaic Acid works by killing acne bacteria that infect skin pores.it also decreases the production of keratin,which is a natural substance that promotes the growth of acne bacteria.
Azelaiac Acid is soluble in ethanol, hot water ,dipropylene glycol and propylene glycol.
