Potassium Sorbate Granular ,50gm Potassium Sorbate can be used to preserves all kinds of DIY cosmetic products like creams, lotions, shampoos, makeup and sunscreen products. Potassium sorbate is the inactive salt of sorbic acid, which is activated on contact with water. It is effective against mold and yeast, but is not effective against bacteria. Therefore is is most commonly used together with sodium benzoate, which is effective against fungi and bacteria.
